Our Story

Zee Zee Interior was founded in 2003 by Barang Squared Co., Ltd., growing from a bold entrepreneurial vision into one of Phuket's most respected names in interior furnishings and home décor.

The company has its roots in the pioneering work of Christopher James Garrard (Jim), one of the earliest foreign entrepreneurs to recognize the extraordinary quality of Indonesian craftsmanship and bring it to a global audience. Over more than two decades, Jim built an industry-defining portfolio, establishing trade routes and sourcing relationships across Indonesia that placed authentic, handcrafted homewares into properties around the world.

With that legacy secured, Jim stepped away from international trade, relocating to Phuket with his family to establish a family office. Together with his wife Julalak Garrard (Mam), Zee Zee Interior was born, a natural evolution of everything the family had learned about quality materials, artisan relationships, and what truly elevates a space.

From a single showroom in Phuket, Zee Zee Interior has grown to serve interior designers, villa developers, boutique resort operators, and hotel groups across Thailand. What began as a family passion for authentic craft has become the island's most trusted source for tropical-inspired furnishings.

Julalak Garrard (Mam) Owner & Director

Julalak is the owner and driving force of Zee Zee Interior, overseeing all operations, buyer relationships, and the curation of every product in the showroom. Her deep knowledge of artisan sourcing built alongside her husband's pioneering trade work across S.E. Asia means she understands not just what looks beautiful, but what lasts and performs in luxury villa and resort environments.

Her approach is personal. Whether you are a property developer furnishing 20 villas, a boutique hotel seeking signature pieces, or a homeowner wanting a curated collection, Julalak and the Zee Zee team work closely with you from first concept to final delivery.
